22nd Annual MASOC-MATSA Joint Conference: Preventing Sexual Violence Through Assessment, Treatment and Safe Management

This is a three-day conference on current research and treatment of sexual abusers and victims for therapists and clinicians providing clinical and therapeutic services for these individuals. This conference is designed for clinicians, policy-makers and mental health professionals to share new ideas, refresh current practices, network with other providers, and welcome new professionals to the specialized field of sexual abuse/offense. Now in its 20th year, the conference will continue to host a national and international audience of nearly 800 participants, 66 workshops with a keynote address, and 110 presenters who are leaders in this field nationally, over the course of three days. Objectives: 1: *Participants will learn basics of current assessment methods to identify treatment needs of children and adult clients. 2: *Participants will learn to identify and describe 3 effective interventions for perpetrators of sexual violence. 3: * Participants will learn how to adapt and devise therapeutic treatment approaches for individuals with high risk behavior and intellectual/developmental disabilities.
