Modern Assistance and Umass Boston will host a two-day series on a variety of topics intended to further educate those in the substance use and human services fields. Attendees will gain a greater understanding of treatment and intervention strategies to serve clients with a variety of needs.
Learning goals: 1. Understand the onset of alcoholism and drug abuse in a variety of different populations. 2.Understand varied evidence based treatment modalities for substance use disorders across multiple treatment populations. 3. Recognize specific obstacles in treatment among different populations, and be able to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
