In Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), clinicians help couples identify and process the strong emotions that drive their negative communication cycle, as well as facilitate client’s awareness of their unmet attachment needs and fears. In order to do this effectively, EFT therapists must be able to name and process their own emotions, be aware of their own attachment style, and be cognizant of Self-of-Therapist issues that may get triggered in session. “Self-of-Therapist” is a term to describe the intra-psychic challenges that impede the therapeutic process. This 1-day workshop provides an opportunity for EFT couples therapists to explore Self-of-Therapist challenges in a supportive group environment. Hosted by The Couple & Family Institute of New England (CFINE) in Northampton, MA. Register at: www.coupleandfamilyinstitute.com.
