Self of the Therapist: Exploring, Healing, and Growing using Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy
Friday, May 15, 2020, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EDT
Category: Consortium Events
This workshop holds a coequal focus: 1. To experience the power and usefulness of Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy and its applications to individual therapy and psycho-educational workshops/trainings/groups; 2. To explore what we as therapists/individual selves bring to our clinical work from the inside out. It is a chance to explore our strengths, working edges, and tender places. Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy will be used to build a safe container, collect relevant group information, and use the creative, emotional and physical resources of all present. Psychodrama employs guided dramatic action to examine problems or issues. Using experiential methods, enactment, re-enactment and sociometry, psychodrama facilitates growth, change, and integration on cognitive, affective, and behavioral levels.
Hosted by the Couple & Family Institute of New England (CFINE) in Northampton, MA for 6 CEs. For more info, visit: https://coupleandfamilyinstitute.com/2019/12/self-of-therapist-2/.
