Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Generalized Anxiety Disorder

This training is best for practitioners with a foundational understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy including the theory and structure of practice in adherent CBT. This training will focus on the interventions used in Cognitive behavioral therapy for symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder and will provide participants with an overview of the CBT model of generalized anxiety disorder and general assessment, case conceptualization, and treatment strategies. Participants will be oriented to, observe demonstrations of, and practice specific cognitive and behavioral strategies traditionally used in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder. Following this training the participants will understand:1.Describe the CBT model of generalized anxiety disorder. 2.Describe assessment, conceptualization, and general CBT treatment planning for generalized anxiety disorder. 3.Identify specific behavioral and cognitive strategies for generalized anxiety disorder.
