The Multicultural Supervision Peer Consultation Group
will focus on bringing a multicultural lens into systemic supervision. There will be topic areas around supervising diverse populations as well as peer presentations to discuss specific situations. The group will emphasis  bringing equity and advocacy to the supervisory relationship as well as personal development for the supervisor in order to provide culturally-responsive supervision.
                                                                        
Learning Objective 1: Participants will learn how to identify at least 3 ways to bring a multicultural lens into their supervision practices. 
Learning Objective 2: Participants will gain an understanding of their own power and privilege and at least 5 ways it can affect the supervisory relationship.
Learning Objective 3: Participants will learn at least 3 key strategies to provide feedback to a person with different social identities than themselves.

Schedule:
1-1:15: Review of previous topic and introduction to current topic
1:15-1:30: Discussion of supervisory principle
1:30-1:45: Exploration of self-of-therapist issues that impact and restrict effective application of supervisory principle
1:45-2: Introduction and discussion of case study/case consultation
2-2:15: Continuation of discussion of case study/case consultation
2:15-2:30: Review, discussion of gains made
                                                                                
Jessica Holmes, LMFT is a Program Director for CBHI services through Mentor South Bay. She has been providing supervision to diverse clinicians for over 10 years, and is in the process of completing her PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice in a Global Context. Jessica is passionate about issues of diversity, and wants to improve training and educational practices to better support diverse clinicians in their training experiences
